White Ape Steals Peach, or Bai Yuan Tou Tao, is one of the most classic Mantis Kung Fu forms. In this tutorial, I teach the entire form, step-by-step, including explanations of body mechanics and movement, power generation, combat applications, as well as the history of the form and its underlying principles and concepts.

Meet the Instructor

Hi, I'm Will, host of the YouTube channel Monkey Steals Peach. I have practiced Mantis Kung Fu since 2009, under several of the best teachers in the arts home of Shandong province in China. I am an indoor disciple of Zhou Zhendong, from whom I inherited the full system of Cui Shoushan's Taiji Mantis, and am currently furthering my study under Wang Xiuyuan. I have also sought out teachers in Taiwan, Shanghai and the West to advance my understanding. In this series of tutorials, I present the system, with much of the content being the first time to be presented to a western audience.
